Travelodge Newport Isle of Wight

I stayed here for work a few years ago and had a poor experience, so was dreading coming back!, however this place has changed for the better. Just stayed 2 nights and have been very pleased, rooms seem much more modern now, yes there basic, but have usb chargers and are clean, bed was comfortable. Food was amazing on both nights, very impressed. Best shout out goes to the staff who i found always helpful and polite. Only negative for me was the parking is extra and located in a car park accross the road. Overall very impressed and good value for money.

Stayed one night and for one night it actually isnt that bad. Its doable as a place to simply put your head down and rest up for the night. The hotel is easy enough to find and was to a fair ok standard, but that's what I expect with lower branded hotels. A simple basic standard. Parking is virtually forget it. There is no hotel car park here, parking restrictions on street apply 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There are bays nearby but very limited which are free over night. However the end of the one way street leads to free parking areas and this may present a walk back. Police had to be called due to rowdy guests and you can hear everything in other nearby rooms. Breakfast looked a little tired, but was OK. The bed was comfy enough. Room was a fair size, but the bath is a half bath. Not suitable for anyone 5ft 10 roughly and of average build. Can't lay down and forced to sit up right. For what it is it would be unfair to grant 3 stars based on my experience, but I will say I've tried this place and will try to get my traditional hotel in the area next time im over.

Travelodge Newport is a clean, comfortable, and convenient place to stay. The rooms are spacious, tidy, and great value for money. The location is excellent — close to shops, restaurants, and easy access to explore the island. The staff are friendly specially Doreen, Lily and Claire, helpful, and always welcoming. A perfect base for a relaxing and hassle-free stay on the Isle of Wight!

Have just had a night in Said Travelodge due to work. We booked in Am 3rd February 26 for a day room. The Room was very clean and comfortable and I was surprised as stayed in Travelodge before and wasn't impressed with the quality of others. After a good sleep we went to The Little restaurant (Surprising for Travelodge) and was greeted by a Very Charming Receptionist/Waitress called Chrissy! What an Absolute credit to the Hotel, very happy, charming and hard working covering both Reception,bar and Serving the food which also was Amazing and Great value. If it's 5 star all bells and whistles this isn't the hotel for you, however if you want a clean decent and good price hotel with friendly staff this is the one...

Large, clean and bright room with a comfortable bed. Good breakfast variety and pleasant eating area. All staff seem happy in their work and are very attentive.

Stayed here with work several times. Rooms are clean and warm and comfortable. Staff are friendly and happy and the service is superb. The food is excellent and the pie and mash is devine. Central for town shopping. Really enjoy staying here and hope to stay again. Can't praise enough, really happy.

You have to pay for WiFi and re sign in every day which was a pain. Room not serviced for all 9 days I stayed which surprised me. Rooms very clean but basic and no drawers to put items in. Breakfast good but evening menu is limited to pizzas curries and dishes with black rice! Steak pie is excellent but you cant eat that every evening

Stayed one night on a business trip. Excellent value for money. Friendly welcoming staff, well appointed room with extra nice touches like a small night light by the bed, a top lit mirror (good for doing your make up, openable window and black out curtains. Comfortable bed, nice fluffy towels, and clean. Breakfast was relatively basic but sufficient. No car parking on site but public car park 2 minutes walk away, and I paid £8 for 24 hours parking.
